NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trevecca Nazarene University baseball team lost a non-conference game, 22-5 to Northwood University on Saturday at Jackson Field.

This was the first meeting between Northwood and Trevecca.



Both teams scored a run in the second inning … Javier Martinez homered for Northwood and Trevecca scored on a Mason Jones RBI single which drove in Ethan Hurt … Northwood managed 10 runs in the top of the third inning to Trevecca's two … the Timberwolves scored a run in the fourth and five in the fifth inning … the Trojans scored a run in the eighth and ninth inning … Northwood won 22-5.



Clayton Moran started and took the loss (0-1) … Mason Jones had two RBIs … Ethan Hurt went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a pair of stolen bases … Ethan Harrison hit a solo home run. 



The Timberwolves were paced by two home runs and sat down seven Trojan batters on strikes … Northwood had 17 hits … Trojan pitchers combined for six strikeouts, which included Lee Cunningham's two innings of perfect work where he struck out two … The Trojans pitchers gave up nine walks



The Trojans will go on the road to face Alabama-Huntsville (4-3) on Tuesday, Feb. 27 with first pitch at 5 p.m. The Trojans will host the Chargers on April 24 at Jackson Field.
